NO MY HEART

[When Steven spots a wrapped gift at his door, there's an instinctive worry it's from Quentin. He's not sure he still feels comfortable accepting anything from him now that he's learned about that whole Mysterio thing. The attached letter already alleviates that concern, though. The handwriting is different.

Once the hoop is unwrapped and lies on the palm of his hand, he just stares at it for the longest time. Then he absentmindedly rotates it, so that the stars are turning as well. ...Why does that fill him with such a bittersweet feeling?

By the time evening falls and Tawna's ready to head out, she'll find a cookie tin and a letter by her own door.]

Hi Tawna,

Thanks so much for the gift! It's absolutely lovely. I've strung it up by my window, I think it looks nicest there. It's really very impressive work. Would love to be able to make something like that some day. I'm working on a little scale model of a pyramid right now, though. With proper limestone and everything. Just a little self-indulgent project to stay busy at night. You're going to have to teach me how to embroider, so I can give you something nice in turn.

The recipe's a smashing success, I'd say. I didn't know you like to cook. Here's some biscuits I made the other day. Vegan, obviously, but I figure you'll still like them.

Laters, gators!
Steven

[Inside the cookie tin are indeed cookies! They're shaped like crescent moons and fish.]
