NO MY HEART
Once the hoop is unwrapped and lies on the palm of his hand, he just stares at it for the longest time. Then he absentmindedly rotates it, so that the stars are turning as well. ...Why does that fill him with such a bittersweet feeling?
By the time evening falls and Tawna's ready to head out, she'll find a cookie tin and a letter by her own door.]
Hi Tawna,
Thanks so much for the gift! It's absolutely lovely. I've strung it up by my window, I think it looks nicest there. It's really very impressive work. Would love to be able to make something like that some day. I'm working on a little scale model of a pyramid right now, though. With proper limestone and everything. Just a little self-indulgent project to stay busy at night. You're going to have to teach me how to embroider, so I can give you something nice in turn.
The recipe's a smashing success, I'd say. I didn't know you like to cook. Here's some biscuits I made the other day. Vegan, obviously, but I figure you'll still like them.
Laters, gators!
Steven
[Inside the cookie tin are indeed cookies! They're shaped like crescent moons and fish.]
HEhhehe suffer
Steven can expect a note slipped under his door as Tawna passes by. She needs to go hunt, and her note is just there next time he checks his door.]
I try to make something for my friends where I can. I'm happy you like it. Same goes for the dessert, the lemon bars were an experiment, but a good one.
If you're ever up for company. I'd love to see your scale model. I could probably show you a few embroidery tips if you'd like too. Give you a few extra supplies I have. Apparently gargoyles love hoarding, and I've got a bit too much of everything.
Thank you for the cookies, I really enjoyed them.
Catch you on the flipside, fly boy.

Hi Tawna,
I hope you know you're a really great friend. And you can drop by whenever you like! You're always welcome, as long as I'm home anyway. All you have to do is knock. I'll make sure to stock up on some extra nosh for you.
Laters!

Tawna laughs a little when she sees the note. She'll slide another one under the door after she's washed up.]
You do owe me an IOU for a dinner, so, I guess I better take advantage of it soon.
Want me to bring some craft supplies?
Signed,

To Her Majesty, Reigning Note Sovereign of the Hall,
You can bring the craft supplies if you want to, but you don't have to! The whole point of the dinner was for you to take it easy after all that theatre drama. Just do whatever feels right, yeah?
With the most humble regards,
Steven, not actually capable of flying (yet?)

I always find crafting relaxing. So at least getting you set up would be nice. About how I got Quen into things too. So, no one is immune from crafting.
I trust you'll fly soon enough, just going to take some practice. Tell me if you need any help. I've been around the block with flying even before I had these wings.

That makes sense. I've got some crafting supplies here, but it's just to work on my model. There's no needle and thread, or even superglue and glitter.
Thanks! If I run into trouble, I'll give you a ring. Or a network message, anyway. How'd you fly before you had wings? Was it like a levitation situation, or...?
Cheers,
Squire Steven

I have enough to give you something to work with. Trust me, the hoarding instincts are too real.
Not wings technically, but I used a grappling hook to get around between ships. Pirate ships weren't exactly happy to have me around.
Lets say we'll meet sometime this week if you're not busy.
Crafty Regards,
Tawna

Dearest Craftawna,
You used a grappling hook to get from ship to ship? People can DO that? I thought that was only in films! That's so cool! And you faced real pirates too?
Sometime this week is fine. Just not on Wednesday, I've got something else planned then.
Cheers,
Steven
[The plan for Wednesday is W.E.B. stuff, so yep, that's too important to reschedule.]

I did! I was a stowaway, so, I had to get around somehow. Sure wasn't the traditional way. Using a grappling hook like that takes a lot of coordination and practice to make it work honestly. I did. They usually weren't happy to see me.
This week it is, let's say Thursday evening.
