I dunno, I think that's a real difficult question.

Personally, I'm not gonna say you should continue, cause that's not up to me. If you don't feel good about it, probably best to step away from it. Thing is, folks are already hurting, aren't they? And if nobody tries to make things better, they won't get better. Doesn't mean the person who has to put in the effort is you, though! Taking a risk like that is a choice you make, not a responsibility.

I know it's a choice - but you're not quite right there. It's still a responsibility for me ... if it goes wrong. Anything that happens to people in the aftermath would be my fault, and I don't need any more blood on my hands.

Oh, sorry, I didn't mean it like that. Once you take the risk, it is your responsibility. What I meant is it's not your responsibility to take that risk in the first place. There's other folks who can look into these things. It doesn't have to be you who takes that plunge.

But, Steven ... yes, it does. How many other people here have both pharmaceutical knowledge on the doctorate level and access to the materials? I almost feel as though not trying would be the larger crime... of inaction.

I get your point, I do, but maybe someone else can take the plunge differently.

Maybe Mana can give all the necessary ingredients, for example. And then all that's left is to figure out what they are and replicate them as needed. Or maybe she can make magical amulets that have the same sort of effect as medication. The sky's the limit, is what I'm saying.

Steven, you're a genius! Mana is the missing component! When Peter tried to recreate [he catches himself while typing and deletes 'his web fluid', thank goodness, as he realizes he isn't sure if Steven knows] a project from home, he couldn't do it. He had to buy it from Mana.

Maybe whatever component she added - which we're still trying to isolate - could be reproduced or bought in bulk to add to things!

Maybe! Or maybe she's got some other solution for it. Won't know till you ask her about it. You just gotta make sure you're real specific, before you end up with medicine that gives people unstoppable giggles or something like that.
