Good afternoon, Mr. Grant. I don't believe we've met, my name is Ryou Bakura. I was made to understand that you are a nephilim, and I was hoping that I might be able to ask you for a favor that only a nephilim can fulfill.

Specifically, if you are able to purify a large tub of water for me, should you have access to a purifying spell. Not all nephilim do, according to Spengler's Guide. If you are in fact capable and willing, I would of course be able to compensate you for your time, and I would be happy to discuss what would suit you best.

If this isn't something you're willing to do for a complete stranger, I also understand.

[Even after their usual routine of Tawna telling Steven good night as he's getting up, there is another knock.

Once Steven actually checks, he'll find a small carefully wrapped gift laid out on his front step. Once he removes the tissue paper, he'll find an embroidery hoop with fabric pulled taut. There is embroidered scene of a pyramid under a starry night. Tawna for her part made sure the pyramid was accurate as she could make it. The scene itself is peaceful to look at. The moonlight reflects off of the water, beads are used for the highlights to make the scene pop.

Along with the scene is a small box with Tawna's attempt at a vegan lemon bar. Each bar is carefully dusted with powdered sugar.]

I'm just sending you a quick message about something we'll need to keep an eye on. Norman just alerted me that Haftesal's research team were giving out drugs at Amusement Mile.

Specifically, a blue pill is keeping monsters awake for a long time, which is going to be dangerous. Norman is going to put up a PSA about it sometime today.

I am told you are one of the few other Nephilim here.

[The message comes sudden, with no preamble and no further explanation. It's so different from Diavolo's "normal" — contacting someone, entirely on a whim, at an address scrawled down on notepaper. For days he internally debated whether it was a worthy endeavor. Apparently, he's made his decision.]

In all my time spent here, I have yet to meet another. A rare breed, it seems — or perhaps we are naturally predisposed to solitude.

[He finds himself oddly tense as he types, unsure what to expect, and even less sure of where he is going, messaging Steven out of the blue. Doppio had said he'd seemed friendly enough in person, but ... there's always something to worry about.]

[Tis the 25th of December, and they are having a metaphorical night on the town. It's more like some time in the Cube. Mostly food time, and maybe some gifts changing hands. The usual.

Quentin has a bag hooked on one of his arms as he lingers outside of the Cube, casting a glance Steven's direction. He's smiling as he does it, content. He's even dressed up a bit spiffier than usual. There's only some minor nibble marks on the collar of his wool sweater, partially hidden by the way his shirt collar lays. Dress shirts, gotta love 'em.]

So we doing a dinner and a show kind of thing, or mostly having a nice change of scenery-? Not that I'm objecting, just- curious. Still not a hundred percent sure what this place can do anyways, when it's not all... Felfri on the inside. Only been here once so far.
